Laura Brino is an indie folk-pop singer-songwriter based in Annapolis, Maryland. Her music lives in the space where vulnerability meets resilience—blending the warmth of folk, the drive of rock and the shimmer of pop. Writing songs since her teens in the late ’90s, Laura has always used music as a way to process, connect, and heal. Her work has been featured in film and television, and she’s released five solo albums, along with a collaborative project, Lily and the Pearl, created with her husband and creative partner, Sean “Dracula” Jackson. She's currently recording her sixth album, set to release in 2025.
In 2025, Laura was named a finalist in the Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards—a moment that honored not just her craft, but the emotional honesty that’s always been at the heart of her songwriting.
That same year, she released Cactus Moon Rising, a deeply personal documentary that follows her return to music after a decade-long hiatus and a life-threatening experience during the birth of her second daughter. The film blends 13 original music videos with behind-the-scenes moments, offering a raw and intimate look into her healing through motherhood, creativity, and community.
Laura is also a founder of the Songbird Collective, a space created to support women and non-binary artists through mentorship, connection, and performance opportunities—away from the toxicity that too often defines the music industry. Her work, both on and off stage, is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and the belief that there’s strength in radical authenticity.

"...her songs are the warm coffee on a rainy day. Or the oh-so-sought-after light at the end of the tunnel in the world of folk music. She maintains her femininity without being too demanding about it. Her beauty in her words is just as important as her folk music stamina that is very important this day and age..." -FensePost
