Laura is an indie folk-pop singer-songwriter based in Annapolis, Maryland. Her music blends elements of folk, rock, and pop, featuring heartfelt lyrics and catchy refrains. Writing since her teens in the late 1990s, Laura's songs have been featured in numerous television shows and films. She has released five solo albums, as well as an album with her band, Lily and the Pearl, a collaboration with her husband, Sean “Dracula” Jackson. Laura is currently working on a new album set for release in 2025.
In addition to her music, Laura created Cactus Moon Rising, a heartfelt documentary that offers an intimate look into the inspiration and creative process behind her sixth studio album, Cactus Moon. The film chronicles her journey through a decade-long hiatus, a near-death experience during the birth of her second daughter, and her healing through motherhood and trauma. Featuring behind-the-scenes footage and 13 original music videos, Cactus Moon Rising forms a cohesive visual and auditory narrative.
Laura is also the founder of the Songbird Collective, which supports women and non-binary artists by offering mentorship, networking, and performance opportunities in a safe, equitable space free from toxic industry norms.

She maintains her femininity without being too demanding about it. Her beauty in her words is just as important as her folk music stamina that is very important this day and age..." -FensePost
